PBS KIDS – Dinosaur Train

Dinosaur Train embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains, while encouraging basic scientific thinking skills as the audience learns about life science, natural history and paleontology. It airs daily on PBS KIDS.

As a writer and producer, I had the privilege of creating a credit bed, along side senior producer Marisa Nalevanko and creative director Gordon Harris, to help maintain the audience viewership until the next show.

To write the credit bed, I aligned the educational objectives of the show with the PBS KIDS brand, to create something funny and educational, in a tone that was relevant to the preschool frame of mind.

I found that highlighting how dinosaurs and animals interact like humans, by staying in packs or herds, helped establish an early childhood understanding of working together.

Here is the final 30 second credit bed along with the script.

Note: Most scripts get reworked slightly in production.
